2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

I did speak with an IRCC agent about your PR application. Your Permanent Residency application for protected persons is still in progress at Mississauga. Eligibility, Security, Criminality and Medicals have passed. If the officer decides to do the Medicals check up again, IRCC will contact you.



The current processing times may be over in 2 months, but it can take longer than this. There are 15,700 applications ahead of you. You may check your online account as IRCC will contact you through that for any updates.

Has anyone been in the secanrio before that had everything passed and had to wait 3 months for FD. I am just curious. Will appreciate feedbacks pls. Application Date is November 11th 2023. All steps passed including security on the 17th July 2026

Am a November 2023 applicant. Ircc has requested the updated A form on my pr file.
I do have a representative he told me that but he didn’t specify that about the exact status on my file. Can anyone tell me if it’s related to background check or security?

I also was asked to resubmit a new Background A form, my security started shortly after that, still in progress a month later now, not sure what’s going on
