Applied with following timeline( me + spouse and dependents inside Canada):

• Applied for PR : June 26, 2023
• Pre Arrival : December 21 , 2024
• Eligibility letter : December 17, 2024
• Medical : Completed (expired)
• Info Sharing : Not Yet Started
• Criminality : in progress
• Biometric : Not requested
• Security : Not Yet Started

It is really frustrating and I’m really stressed out.

I feel confused guys. I applied on June 2023 and biometric not requested. I just received biometric request for me and my spouse today. This is my timeline now:

inside Canada (Ontario) applicant with spouse and children. Primary office Mississauga and secondary office Montreal.

• Applied for PR : June 26, 2023
• Pre Arrival : December 21 , 2024
• Eligibility letter : December 17, 2024
• Medical : Completed (expired)

• Criminality : in progress
• Biometric : requested on 6th July 2026
• Security : Not Yet Started

Is there any justification why I’m receiving this now? Is this means that I have to wait for long time?

I had the same situation as you . For long time my criminality was in progress and after me and dependent did biometric in May 2026 criminality changed to completed and background changed from not applicable to process . the only item that remain is security . I applied April 2023 and no final decision yet .

Don't worry, One of my friends was like you, they said because of quality of first fingerprint they need better quality to process. that is why your criminality still is in progress. Just they need more clear and better fingerprints. after that your file will move.

A friend of mine wasted a whole year and got a refusal because mistake on PR application. Honestly, it was a blessing in disguise because the system is completely ignoring 2023 applications right now, while 2024 processing times are way faster.


He reapplied properly in 2024, skipped the 2023 backlog limbo, and finally got FD today. If he was still stuck waiting on that botched 2023 file, he’d probably still be sitting around today.

Don't worry, One of my friends was like you, they said because of quality of first fingerprint they need better quality to process. that is why your criminality still is in progress. Just they need more clear and better fingerprints. after that your file will move.

I m 19 May 2023 applicant and I called today mp for check my status and after 4 hours they called me my file is approved. So how many days after my representative get email for all information. Anyone has any idea please tell me

I have representative so I can not open gc key. But I called ircc yesterday for listening my status and before I heard it my status but yesterday I can't heard anything. I listened only my applied date and said most recently updated

I am a November 2023 applicant and i got my Pre-arrival in December 2025 and Eligibility in January 2026. Called IRCC and all that is left is security which has not started.
