I got an email from IRCC to provide Police Clearance Certificates for myself and dependent. We already provided them in 2024 but they are asking again. Even it was showing in GCMS notes that they received the certificates. It seems like they have lost documents for 2023 applicants because many people here in the forum have been asked to resubmit some of their documents.
Now, I am not sure whether to upload the same PCCs from 2 years ago or shall I get new ones. Getting new ones is also another mission.

I believe our applications have gone far beyond normal processing times, and IRCC should be held accountable. Since applicants have the legal option to file a mandamus application, it appears that IRCC has recently sent document request letters to many of us. This creates the impression that they can argue they are actively working on our files if a mandamus application is filed, even though they may then say the application is still waiting for security screening to be completed.

In my view, this approach allows them to delay decisions while claiming that processing is ongoing. However, they cannot keep applications inactive indefinitely. If the delay becomes unreasonable and cannot be properly justified, a court may grant a mandamus order requiring IRCC to make a decision.

I am reading people posts here and it makes me sad.

Out of curiosity, can u leave from Canada while waiting for PR application progress with ur refugee travel document?

I am pretty sure u guys waited long too for ur asylum case and now PR process delay. It's nightmare and how long does it take for u guys in total?

I've got the same email and updated my documents on Jun 4th; still no news
I don’t know why they treating like that with us !!!
After three years, requesting for military service is ridiculous when we provided when we applied for PR application .
other hand, one of my friend who applying 2024 November without any request for military or other thing he got his P1 one months ago.

I wish I knew why they’re treating us like this. To them, it’s just a procedure, but to us, it’s our lives. Honestly, it feels like they already consider our cases to be 'failed files,' so they aren't even trying to put the effort in anymore. I also heard that if a file is stuck in background or security checks, we can't even apply for a mandamus. They'll simply say it's for national security and claim it's out of their hands

I heard From one person, they changed the office on 2023-2024 so after that too many documents are lost or stacked. so they start the easy document like 2024-2025 instead-our document
