Mine also started saying processing your background check, I am pretty sure it wasn’t saying this while ago when I checked and ircc hasn’t reached out to me so I am hoping this is a good sign. I applied December 15 2023 seeing a lot of 2023 applicants get pr is quite exciting waiting for my turn

Do u remember before it was saying something else...even i don't remember exactly in my gc key what was it before but past 1 month its updated as we are processing your background check...

after the IRCC finally reached out for some extra information, the automated phone line status now says "we are processing your background check", from what I've seen on here, the actual security started and security finished status dates are pretty close together, can someone confirm if they heard this status before and how long it was before a final decision / P1?

I heard this last 1 year still no any changes

Hey everyone, I just got an update from my MP yesterday.


IRCC flagged my file as "Non-Routine" because their internal notes claim I have a "military background."


The catch? I have NEVER served in the military.


I stated this clearly in my initial application. Even worse, just 1 month ago, IRCC asked me IMM5546, and I uploaded official documentation confirming I have zero military history. Yet, their internal notes from this month still show this fake flag, trapping my file in a security screening black hole. That must be joke.

Hi everyone, I have a question, please answer if anyone knows. After August 2024, when I received the eligibility letter, there was no news from the immigration department until three years later, when there was no news from PR, I applied for an Atip. After that, on June 18, I received a letter that you said you did not join the military, you have one month to send documents to prove your point, otherwise your case will be rejected. I sent the documents and there has been no news yet. They did not even send me the Atip response. I have to wait or apply for a new Atip again. The behavior of the immigration department is very unfair. If I did not apply for an Atip, would they remember that there is a case here?

I submitted my work permit extension on Friday by 6p.m via GCkey Account but I didn't get any confirmation email from ircc please let me know that Is it normal or should I call ircc, my work permit expiring on September 2026.
I just can see that on my gckey Account "documents submitted"
