The official processing time is counted from the first date when you submitted the document package and paid the initial fees. The GCKey linking date is just a technical sync. Since your medical was renewed back in March, have you received your P1 or eCOPR yet? And which Visa Office is handling your case?
From IRCC website: “Your processing time starts the day we receive your complete application…”. I guess, the question is what they consider a “complete” file, since those in QC need the CSQ first so could it be not just a technical sync?

And then the inconsistency of the processing times across applicants who applied within same timeframes…so I am curious whether that little detail plays a role and curious to hear how others track their applications.

My last update was medical renewal in March 2026; Mississauga VO

IRCC officially considers the application "complete" once it passes the initial R10 completeness check right after submission (when they issue the AOR). The CSQ and GCKey link dates are just internal stages and technical syncs, they don't change or reset that official start date.

The inconsistency in processing times usually comes down to the Visa Office assignment. Since your file is at Mississauga VO and mine is at Paris VO, the queues move at completely different speeds despite the same timeline. Thanks for sharing your update, it's really helpful to track!

You should follow the outland discussions instead for more accuracy, this is for inland applications.

Ah, my bad, didn't realize this thread was strictly for inland! You're right, the steps are slightly different (you get PR directly inside, while I'm waiting for PPR to land).

However, since we are both Quebec mid-2024 applicants, we are tied to the same provincial caps and overall approval waves. Your medical renewal in March is a very positive sign for all of us from that cohort. Thanks for the heads-up and good luck to us both!

I ordered GCMS notes for my application. Applied May 10 2024. Will update once I get them and if there's something useful there.

Also, some good news for our applications:
The new intake period and cap were announced in a press release published by the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration (MIFI), Quebec's immigration department.

According to the press release, the MIFI will be prioritizing older applications once the intake opens.

Don’t you already have your CSQ?
From what I understand, this announcement seems to be for people who are still waiting to apply for their CSQ. For those who already have their CSQ, I’m not sure it applies to us.

Yeah, after reading again, this doesn't apply to us.

If you received your CSQ a year and a half ago? Your sponsor is in Canada and your spouse is in Eastern Europe? If the CSQ was received a year and a half ago? The sponsor is in Canada, the spouse is in Eastern Europe? Applied in May 2024, AOR in July 2024
