Yes. Perhaps you should see it as "no news is good news" (even though the wait is horrible!). You'll get there.
May 10 2024 applicant. Waiting on background check as well.
The processing time tracker says there were 1800 applicants ahead if you applied in may 2024 as of April 7th so might not take that long.

Some movement on our file. Medical was just extended until April 27, 2027 (was originally March 23, 2026). Applied July 18, 2024.
Same here. They extended the medicals on May 1st, but nothing else has happened since. I ordered the GCMS notes around February or March, and after nearly two years, the background check hadn't even started yet !!! That's not a very good sign, especially since we all know the background check is usually the longest stage of the process. It's really discouraging nothing is moving forward. I even resubmitted the papers to extend the work permit since it expires at the end of the year.
