Entered India on E-Visa - Got OCI - How to extend stay for more than 180 days

Hey hi !
I recently did it for my 7 month old it took me 10days to got approved. Chose conversion to Oci option then fill out rest details, wait for their reply if they need something they will email you to update or upload documents. And then you will get call from local ffro office for police clearance where they ask for Oci details, later on site they will ask you to upload Oci copy that’s it

OCI Received While in India on e-Visa – Can Status Be Updated Through FRRO Without Leaving India?

Canadian citizen currently in India on an e-Tourist Visa. My OCI has been approved and received the physical OCI card while I am still in India.

Has anyone recently updated their status from e-Visa/Tourist Visa to OCI through FRRO/e-FRRO without leaving India?

If yes:
- Which e-FRRO service did you use?
- Was it done online or did you visit FRRO?
- Were you required to exit and re-enter India on OCI?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone with first-hand experience. Thanks!

I was in punjab so i used frro in Punjab
It was online
Its was not required to leave and no one asked me anything on airport
