AOR in February, no news on sponsorship approval yet

Hi everyone,

My wife is sponsoring me for Québec. We are applying inland. We submitted our application on 30 December 2025, and we received the AOR on 17 February 2026. We haven't received anything else yet, which seems weird given that for many people the process seems quicker. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Hi! Yes, the whole process takes years, but generally sponsorship approval takes a few months. I’ve seen people here get their sponsorship approval for Québec while applying after us.

Wouldn’t worry about sponsor approval timeline too much given how long it takes to process applications in Quebec. Whether it takes a few more months will have no impact

My worry is what would happen if Québec decides to open the process for a few days at the end of June and close it again for a whole year, which would block my chances to into the queue this year.
