Hi everyone,

I am applying online for Canadian citizenship in 2026 and I am confused about the passport/travel document upload requirement.
In the online application, under Travel documents or passports, it asks me to list all passports/travel documents covering my 5-year eligibility period. For each passport, it asks:
“Do you have the bio page?”

Then it says:
“The bio page(s) has your information, for example name, photo and date of birth. If your document has more than 1 bio page, upload them all as 1 file.”
It also says:
“You will be asked to show us the original documents during the processing of your application.”

My question is:
For the online citizenship application, should I upload only the bio page(s) of each passport, or should I upload all pages of the passport, including blank pages, stamps, and visas?

I know some older discussions mention scanning all passport pages, but the current online application seems to ask only for the bio page(s).
I want to avoid submitting the wrong document or causing delays.
Has anyone applied online recently in 2026? What did you upload, and did IRCC ask later for full passport copies?

Thank you.

Hi, I'm applying. This is my question also

Trust what the online application asks for, and as you can tell, it only asks for the bio page. Some people like to send the whole passport as an additional document, but that's overkill for the vast majority of applicants.
The reason why OP saw theses discussions : the whole passport requirement used to be (still is? Dunno, haven't checked in a while) specific to the paper application when people had a choice between paper and online ones, but pretty much no-one applies by paper anymore.
