My dependents were requested for medical examen the day after I received the ecopr.
That day I requested their atip notes, I received today and shows all assessment passed, ready for landing. Hopefully they will be requested to send the passport for visa. I will keep here posted.
your dependents application primary office is outside canada or cpc miss..

I have seen posts from 2024 showing that some applicants from the end of October 2024 have already received their PR confirmation, and some November 2024 applicants have received their final decision. However, many applicants from 2023 are still waiting for their final decision. This is very difficult to understand and emotionally exhausting for those who have been waiting much longer. It feels unfair that older applications appear to be delayed while newer applicants are receiving decisions. I respectfully hope IRCC will review this issue and process applications in a fair and transparent order.

A few people have started protesting about their cases. The IRCC circus is impacting tens of thousands of lives. I recently missed a great promotion opportunity because I still don’t have permanent residency, and the company can’t get me a visa for the new department in the US

Let us organize a peaceful protest to bring attention to the situation of 2023 applicants. We respectfully ask IRCC to focus on applications from 2023 and earlier 2024 and to issue final decisions for those who have been waiting for a long time.

All of us already completed all the steps when we applied for refugee protection, including comprehensive screening and background checks. IRCC already has detailed information about us, so it is very difficult to understand why the process seems to be repeated again from the beginning when we apply for permanent residence. This causes long delays, emotional stress, and uncertainty for families and individuals who are trying to rebuild their lives.
We respectfully ask IRCC to use the information already available, reduce unnecessary repetition, and process older applications fairly and efficiently. Our request is simple: please do not leave 2023 applicants behind.

This is why as soon as we get the citizenship, we leaving this country. They have the worst unfair immigration system. I personally lost 3 job offers as result of this. And my life is stalled bc of this. Cant get a proper job, cant visit family, cant travel.

Hi everyone,

June 2023 applicant here.

I’m hoping to get some advice on a couple of issues we’re facing with our PR application for my 8-year-old daughter. She’s a U.S. citizen, and we submitted her passport when we initially applied. Now, IRCC is requesting a copy of a valid passport for her, but the original submitted is now expired, and as you know, it will only be returned after PR approval.

I tried reaching out to the U.S. Embassy to renew her passport, but they require the old one as part of the renewal process. When I asked IRCC if they could release the old passport temporarily, they reiterated that they would return it only upon PR approval. It feels like a catch-22.

Also, we received a medical exam request for her. She’s a minor and no longer covered under IFHP as protected person status wasn't granted to her because she’s a U.S. citizen, so we’ll have to pay for the medical out of pocket, which is fine. I just want to know if others have had medical requests for their minor children as part of the process.

Any insight or personal experiences would be really appreciated! Thanks so much!
