Does anyone have an idea about sponsoring an adopted child from India?
My brother and his wife holds a PR status in Canada, presently living in India and planning to move to Canada soon. My brother adopted a child from known relative under HAMA act as it widely accepted in India. However, Canadian authorities has suspended accepting adoption under HAMA act. Canadian authority are expecting the parents to processes the adoption through CARA following Hague convention rule.

My question
As adoption has already taken place under HAMA act, is it fine to get NOC from CARA not support letter in addition to HAMA documentation to sponsor the child? Does my brother needs to initiate complete CARA process as it months together?

I am confused.
I got AOR and linked my application on GC Key.
However the status on the online portals changed to returned and they didn't give a reason.
Anyone experienced this before?
Should I have to resubmit the application on PR portal again, thank you so much!

I got file number April 29 but the PR portal shows returned . Thank you!
Hi, the application on GC Key Account Home page shows status as 'submitted'. I provided upfront medicals so the medicals status is 'we are currently reviewing your medical information'. The Eligibility status changed from 'We will send a message when we start to review your eligibility' to 'Eligibility is in progress....'. Overall the status of the application is in progress and they will send a message when a final decision is made. I am not able to look into the tracker as the tracker is down. That often gives us intermediate information which is not captured by GC Key. But with returned status, you will have to call IRCC. It may have happened that the application failed the completeness check.
