So, child was born one month after our landing and PR confirmation.

Application will be processed as normal. Would warn you there are long wait times for services for children experiencing similar issues. Many things end up needing to be paid out of pocket because of long wait times and limit on how much services/funds you can receive from the province. Hopefully you have a job with extended benefits to have some coverage for therapies or evaluations if required.

Thanks a lot for your response and assurance that the PR application won't be impacted. He is just lacking in speaking and we already have speech therapy program for him. I am not much worried about fee for those services. I am only worried if the medical result can pose any risk in the PR application.

The only thing that would delay the process is a communicable disease. There is no medical inadmissibility for spouses and dependent children. Would suggest connecting with other parents who maybe able to give you more information about how you should prepare financially, education-wise, services to access/apply to, etc.

Sure, will do that. Thank you very much for the clarifications!!!

Does anyone have an idea about sponsoring an adopted child from India?

My brother and his wife holds a PR status in Canada, presently living in India and planning to move to Canada soon. My brother adopted a child from known relative under HAMA act as it widely accepted in India. However, Canadian authorities has suspended accepting adoption under HAMA act. Canadian authority are expecting the parents to processes the adoption through CARA following Hague convention rule.

My question
As adoption has already taken place under HAMA act, is it fine to get NOC from CARA not support letter in addition to HAMA documentation to sponsor the child? Does my brother needs to initiate complete CARA process as it months together?

You need to follow what's consider a legal adoption under Canada's immigration rule. The simple rule I see is that unless the child is an orphan, adoption while parent(s) are still alive is consider adoption for the convenience of immigration and not genuine.
