Maybe your PR application will be approved without a full security screening by IRCC. Every case is different, and sometimes files move forward even when security has not officially started yet. I hope you receive good news soon.

Guys, dont rely on the idea security screening is long. When they choose your file, that screening can be made in one,two weeks.
If want to know updates, request ATIP notes. If you call IRCC, agents NEVER say something new. Just everything is ok :[ but no give details.

Yes security screening can be done one or two weeks by IRCC. If goes Partners agencies like CBSA then long wait time.
I saw my background check is started. This message appeared in my portal :
“We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.”
Earlier there was a different message something like “IRCC has not been started the background check and they will let me know once they started.”

Mine says we are processing your background check . We will send you a message if Need more information. I notice this first time. Is this everyone’s account shows same.
I think it’s not same for everyone. Mine was recently updated- yesterday. Today I received an email regarding additional documents since I married after I applied for PR. They are asking me to fill imm 0008 and imm 5406 and marriage certificate. I am really happy, it means they are looking into my file.
since when you can see this status "we are processing your background check"? had you some update recently?
Hello did you have to submit a webform to let them know of your marriage? What do these forms ask? Is your spouse automatically added to your PR?
Was your wedding recently? How long did it take them to request these documents after your marriage? Sorry asking all this because i will go through same process
eligibility and pre arrival received back October 2025 nothing after that
They requested additional documents in October 2025 . Which I submitted on November 6th. My timeline is march 2025. My friend applied September received his coper.
