So my dependent child abroad (7 yrs) has been requested for this, this morning .

Additional Family Info IMM5406: A separate and newly completed Additional Family Information form (IMM5406) bearing original signatures.

Proof of financial support from Principal applicant in Canada

I, as the principal applicant haven’t received my PR yet. Has anyone received the same as well? Just wondering when they started asking for proof of income for protected person category!!!

I am a full time nursing student & got a well paying summer PSW contract job (May 14th -August 28th). Will my contract letter work as proof of income plus a letter of explanation? because i am starting work today and have no paystubs yet. I was also thinking of attaching my enrolment letter to show am in full time school. Am worried they might expect a high income.

During school, I am on OSAP & the Learn

Hi, they do sometime ask for the forms again. they asked in case of my husband as well. Regarding proof of financial support, its the money you sent to your family not your income statement. so if you have sent any money home please attach its proofs

How much time you have yo answer???
I think as soon as possible. P1 you can do it same day. It's easy.
For P2 need the photo.

You usually have to reply within a week. if you get P1 email while you are out of Canada you can answer them with the name of the country you are in and when you will be back to Canada. The P1 email normally asks the applicant to provide the following information:

Welcome to the Permanent Resident Confirmation portal process. The attached PDF contains information regarding the confirmation portal process.
Next steps: In your reply to this email, fill in the information for yourself and for each member of your family. If you are not sure of the exact date(s) of your entries to Canada, you can provide your best estimate.
As the principal applicant, you will act on behalf of your dependents. If you would prefer your dependents to have their own accounts, please indicate so in your reply to this email.

UCI:
Name as it appears on your passport:
Personal phone number:
Personal email (one for the whole family):
Eye Colour:
Height in centimetres:
Original entry date (YYYY/MM/DD):
Date of last time you entered Canada (YYYY/MM/DD):
Location of last entry (which Canadian border or Canadian airport):
Have there been any changes to your family composition/dependents (births, deaths, marriages, divorce) (yes or no):
Have you or any of your family members been charged or convicted of a criminal offence (yes or no):
Current residential address (apt #, street #, street name, city, province and postal code):
Are you currently inside Canada (yes or no):
If you are not inside Canada,
How long have you been outside the country? :
When is your expected return date (YYYY/MM/DD):
Which country are you currently located:

uhhh thats a good question. Im waiting for my PR Card and I have a planned trip...(!)

In my case I received P1 and answer same day. P2 next day but between P2 and ECOPR i was one month.

And need to add like 45 days for get the PR Card.

Honestly, if you have a trip soon but very soon, need to state. In P1 there is a section where you can state if you are or not in Canada or can email them with the webform.
In my case the trip was 3 months away so I tought I had time enoug but now I have crossed fingers.

Good luck!

well you can submit a webform to request urgent processing for your PR card. however, IRCC usually does not process urgent requests if your travel date is within 3 weeks. if your trip is more than 3 weeks away, you must provide proof that your travel is urgent. I don’t think vacation or holidays are normally considered urgent since those trips can usually be postponed.
for an urgent request, IRCC may ask for documents such as:

travel itinerary,
flight ticket,
trip receipt showing the date, amount paid, and payment method,
and proof of urgency such as a doctor’s note, death certificate, or a letter from your employer.

since you still have 3 months before your trip, I believe you should receive your PR card by then. hopefully everything goes smoothly. Good luck!

Well, it was 3 months on april, now only 1 and a half month. I think I can get the card by middle June. Crossed fingers because, as You said, vacation are not considered emergency, the emergency is the non-refundable ticket :)

I’m a March 2023 applicant, and my application has been under comprehensive security screening since July 2024. I previously lived in Saudi Arabia and already have a Saudi police clearance certificate. However, I did not submit it earlier because IRCC never requested it.

Would it be helpful if I submit the Saudi police clearance certificate now, even though it was not requested? Could it potentially help move the security screening process forward?

Hi everyone,
I have two questions:
  1. Any news or updates from May 2023? Has anyone received any updates from that period?
  2. Are there any other places (forums, Telegram groups, or other websites) where people are more active and regularly share updates? If you know any, please share them.

I am April 2023 applicant. Yesterday my dependent and I received Biometric Request , even though my previous biometric are still valid, but IRCC request new one.
This is my latest update .
