Supervisa approved - while visiting in Canada

Hi,

My parents' supervisas are approved on April 30, 2026.

However, they are currently visiting us in Canada with visitor visas - they are here in Canada since late March.

I understand they need to exit Canada and re-enter at point-of-entry to adjust their status as Supervisa holder.

Can they go to the US to travel and come back to Canada to activate their supervisas or they have to return to their home country to fly back?

They can try but there is no guarantee that their reentry will be approved or for a certain length of time
