Getting answers depends on who u speak with.try calling next week and hoping u will get a nice person to speak with as my partner did
I’ve contacted IRCC three times and they all said same thing.
They can’t say anything on an application processing abroad
Can only request via web form
Maybe because only a minor is involved
It’s different

Yes
I got the first update about dependents uci and application number from Mississauga last year may
Until this march I got ADR for Dakar office
Seems like very few people have just minor dependents
It’s mostly spouse and dependents which is kind of different from our case
Let’s keep in touch if you have any update
Souds like it

Treated by abroad office
Can’t link to my Gckey
IRCC agent said I could only request for updates by sending a web form.
Did that it’s more that a week , no update

When I said linked not means you can link to your gckey account, means that the child file is attached to your file, so any updates in child+s file, appears in your notes. Is not possible link dependents file to our accounts. But wait for your notes and you will know how is moving , if it moved.
the webform is usually slow to answer, I requested before and took 1 month and they didnt give any information. So I think the best way to keep updated is requestng the file notes.

My spouse received an email explicitly asks us to pay the biometric fee and provide the receipt. Interestingly, we have already received the Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL) from the system. Should we add the biometric completed letter once we did that or should we still pay the fee? It is confusing cause we received the BIL. if we need to pay for it, we were not suppose to have it. any ideas?

The question that you should answer and is, did you pay the biometrics fee!?

And if you haven't done the biometrics, you should

if you have already paid for the Biometric, just submit the paid receipt. that will do.
nope, we did not pay it but as we received BIL, I thought we do not need to but not sure. it feels weird we already did biometric for visitor visa which is valid for 10 years

It is weird because you say that you didn't pay, but are you sure?
We pay all fees when applied for PR. It is mandatory and included in the package. Check the old documents, should be there.

Even if your husband gave bio before, it was for visa and is not valid for PR. Go and schedule appointment for give bio. Dont delay your process. Good luck!

yes, I added my spouse after a year I did my application, that is why I did not pay biometric but we did pay right now in case this may cause delay in the process. If they think it is an overcharge they can refund it I guess. thank you!

Probably ca. Refund but takes forever. Just forget about that. I had some refund for RTD delay and it took like 8 months. So just forget about that money.

hello everyone, I became PR in July 2025, my spouse outland received passport request in Oct 2025, but at that moment he was inside of Canada and we requested a virtual landing but no response since then, have one of you experienced something similar ?
Thanks

When did your spouse come to Canada, and when she came, did you inform IRCC about it at that time or not? Or did you inform them only after you received the PPR request?
