Called IRCC and they said they don’t have updates as it’s treated by abroad office and that only way to get an update is to send a web form
Sent one last week

Getting answers depends on who u speak with.try calling next week and hoping u will get a nice person to speak with as my partner did

Unfortunately no one in the thread seems to provide any info or update . For example me who applied.the same time with my dependant, everything was processed in Mississauga until last month when his app was transferred to overseas office

Until this march I got ADR for Dakar office
Seems like very few people have just minor dependents
It’s mostly spouse and dependents which is kind of different from our case

I’ve contacted IRCC three times and they all said same thing.
They can’t say anything on an application processing abroad
Can only request via web form
Maybe because only a minor is involved

Did that it’s more that a week , no update

When I said linked not means you can link to your gckey account, means that the child file is attached to your file, so any updates in child+s file, appears in your notes. Is not possible link dependents file to our accounts. But wait for your notes and you will know how is moving , if it moved.
the webform is usually slow to answer, I requested before and took 1 month and they didnt give any information. So I think the best way to keep updated is requestng the file notes.

Should we add the biometric completed letter once we did that or should we still pay the fee? if you have already paid for the Biometric, just submit the paid receipt. that will do.

nope, we did not pay it but as we received BIL, I thought we do not need to but not sure. it feels weird we already did biometric for visitor visa which is valid for 10 years

That 10-year validity applies to temporary visas. For a Permanent Residency application, you may be required to provide biometrics again.

Also, your biometrics from a visitor visa may already have expired. If they were still valid and reusable, you would not have received a BIL.
Also check if your Biometric still valid
