• September 3, 2024: Language and physical presence completed
• No updates for a long period:
  • Raised 4 ATIP Requests/web forms and made multiple calls without progress
  • Finally decided to reach out to MP in February 2026
  • Explained that the application was straightforward (no address or job changes, blessed with a child, etc.)
• March 2026: 2nd FP Request, Background check and prohibition completed
• April 2026: Citizenship Oath scheduled

Can you provide details of this? On which date you got the FP request? Was there any update on online tracker before you got the request?

The request was received on March 12 (communication was received via email only), and I submitted the FP on the same day. I also contacted IRCC once to check the status. The background check was completed on March 25, and the prohibition check was completed on March 27.

Hello,

My background check was completed on May 3, 2024. My AOR date is February 1, 2024. All other requirements were completed in May 2025.

My oath status has been showing “In Progress” since 2025. Could you please advise when I should expect the oath invite and scheduling?

I have a friend in the same situation, with the same application date around Nov./Dec. 2023. He filed a writ of mandamus, got cleared, and took his oath today.

When did he apply for the mandamus and how long did it take after the mandamus app to get notified or a response and then the oath invitation?

He applied for the writ of mandamus about a month ago and filed it himself without a lawyer. Shortly afterward, IRCC contacted him and scheduled a brief interview [ asking about his address and double checking the names...] nothing major. Following the interview, all of his statuses turned green, and he then received his oath ceremony invitation. It was fast
