Today I received the email for to complete my data and they will send me the portal for permanent residence. I dint received final decission email, just this email at once.

Im August 2023 applicant ; in the letter with the instructions appears like non complex case ( so why take so long?)

I have dependents overseas, husband and minor daughter.

I was on my knees today giving thanks God after this long , hard, stressful journey, more than 4 years.

Hopefully that all 2023 and prior applicants will be cleared first, then 2024 and 2025...

I pray also for those living in QC.. I hope that the federal government will have its say and that they will be included - by the hook or by the crook - in the one-time initiative..

Guys, there’s finally good news

I originally applied on paper on January 7, 2021.


In March 2023, I received a call from IRCC (unknown number) informing me that my file was no longer available due to an administrative error. After waiting almost 2 years, I was asked to reapply through the online portal so it could be finalized quickly. But that never happened.


Timeline:

• Reapplied: April 10, 2023
• Eligibility letter: June 2025
• Portal confirmation email: April 9, 2026 (just submitted my details)

It’s been a very long and exhausting journey, so I’m not even overly excited—but I’m truly grateful that it’s finally coming to an end.

did you travel to your family during this time .. becuse i travel 4 time ( not to my country ) and i have dout if the travel history will effict the decission

I travel to third country two times (few days) I dont think it affects.
Sometimes I think , affect the complex of your case, your family, I know people with children of different relations, so thats more complex because need more documents. Or when you lived in different countries for more than 6 months. If your case is plane, probably moves faster. It's my idea according with stories I heard here in Canada.

Invite family (core, dependents)after to get PR, im not sure because they will get a visa for coming to Canada and get here the PR. So if they ask for visitor visa probably will be refused as there is other process ongoing. But im not specialist or advisor. Maybe is possible.
What I think is possible now is invite your parents if you can fulfill the requirements.
