I am a new permanent resident. My PR card was issued with a name error: the family name is printed twice (duplicated). I have already submitted a correction request (IMM 5218) via the IRCC webform, but I have not received the corrected card yet.

I need to travel outside Canada for urgent reasons.

Can I travel with my current PR card that has this error? Will I face any issues when returning to Canada? What documents should I carry with me (e.g., passport, eCoPR, copy of the amendment request)?

Thank you.

How do you plan to return to Canada? If you are going for the land border (walking across the rainbow bridge for example), you can use your passport, eCOPR, driver license and the PR card in question. You can explain your situation with the border officer.
