Hi everyone,

I have:

  • a 4-year bachelor’s degree
  • a continuing studies certificate from a Canadian university

The certificate was:

  • officially awarded by the university
  • based on completion of required courses
  • shown on the official transcript
  • supported by a completion letter from the university

For Express Entry, would this likely count as “two or more post-secondary credentials”, assuming the bachelor’s degree is the credential that meets the 3 years or more requirement?

My concern is whether IRCC would accept the continuing studies certificate as the second post-secondary credential.

Has anyone had a similar situation or seen cases like this?

No CEs don’t typically count as degrees. They are typically just for personal/career growth and anyone can take them.
