WORK PERMIT EXTENSION Question

hi all, hope someone can help me out with the question on work permit form: I had PGWP after my graduate studies; I applied for WP extension in summer of 2025 (PGWP expired in November 2025) and early January my extension request was refused because of the missing LMIA, I was also requested to leave Canada in 90 days (by April 2026); now I have a LMIA letter through my previous employer (who want to retain me) and I am applying to restore my status from within Canada (I am here till March). QUESTION: What should I select in the form 5710 "Application to change conditions, extend, etc." for question 7: "Current country or territory of residence"? I am no longer a Worker since my work permit has already expired; should I put Visitor till March 2026? or put Other till March 2026? Thank you, everyone, in advance.

What is your status now? When did you apply and were approved to extend your stay as a visitor. Restore to what if you are leaving? Do you have TRV to return?

in my understanding, i don't have any status right now as I am preparing to leave Canada (I was requested to leave in 90 days which is the end of March) but I am applying to restore my status as "worker" with this WP application. I do have visitor visa (multiple entry) valid till 2031. But I was thinking to leave before 90 days expire and wait for the decision on WP outside Canada.

So if you restore status and leave without a decision then your application is cancelled. Restoring status is just that to maintain status while in Canada. Other can chime in but the restoration is cancelled once you leave so not sure what happens to the WP application. Why not apply from outside Canada if you are leaving.
