Hi all,
I'd be grateful for your help:
I need to extend my spouse's OWP.
I have teer 1 employment job offer (not seasonal, not a contract), but it states 20-40 hrs/week. So it is flexible.
Can I use thi job offer to apply for SOWP extension? There are no specific guidelines about SOWP extension apart from teers eligible.
@Naturgrl would appreciate your insight, as always.

If you meet all the requirements listed on the IRCC SOWP site then yes.

thank you dear @Naturgrl for swift response,

1. you are mentioning these rules, right? https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...rmits-family-members-temporary-residents.html
  • i've graduated from 16-month master program
  • have clb is 11 in celpip
  • have teer 1 job offer
  • Employment Type: Employee (not contractor)
  • Schedule: Flex (Part-Time/Full-Time as needed) - 20 - 40 hours per week.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid-remote (primarily remote, with 1–2 in-office days per week in the GTA as needed)
2. I can't be rejected bcs of "schedule", right?
3. is it better to apply for sowp extenstion now (expires in oct 2026) or get a few stubs and then apply?

Thank you so much!

No the rules on the SOWP application site. I don't know when your PGWP expires so just apply for extension now.
