Hello Everyone, I need to know about the supervisa processing time for my parents. They have USA visitor visa. Does it affect their processing time? Please share your experience whos parents apply for supervisa with valid USA visa and get quicker PPR in compare to normal processing time. TIA
My in-laws supervisa application is in process since May 2025. It is stuck at background check, which I assume is because of my FIL police background. What options do I have here?
Some of the things that come to my mind are-
1. Apply for MIL visitor visa alone
2. Apply for FIL visitor visa alone
3. Apply for mandamus
4. Order gcms notes

Parents Supervisa applied May 25, 2025
Biometrics - no need since they had valid visitor visa
Waiting for Medical - No upfront
13 Aug 2025 - doc asked about my father regarding education/job since he retired from Indian army, basically they asked my father all army history
14 Aug 2025 - doc submitted
After that no update
If he was in the military then don't expect any update for some time. May get lucky.
What is the point of the delay in the Super Visa when the processing time has already been completed? Moreover, why is his background in the Indian Army a concern even he is retired now? A Super Visa is only a temporary visa with flexibility to stay little longer in Canada.
What do you mean? Processing time is an estimate and doesn't include those with military backgrounds. You don't know what he did during his military career. He could have been involved in espionage, military tribunals or been involved in terrorist activities. etc. I don't know. That is what CBSA will look into.
My father has already have valid visitor visa which is valid until oct 2029. I think All things verification are done only during visitor visa only
Same immigration, security, backgrounds checks go into every application even if applying for another TRV. He has a valid visa so can still visit.
