Hello,
I am applying for a TRV for my mother. In the invite letter, I have stated that she is being invited by my sister (who has 2 kids) and I - with reason that she is coming to visit and spend some time with her grandkids.

There's three of us in Canada, I have a second sister who also PRs in Canada. I would like to confirm, do I need to mention my second sister in the letters for transparency or would it affect the application?

This is how I want to quote it:

"I have been invited by my children, Miss E and Mrs. G, who are Permanent Residents of Canada, and they are two of my three children who are Permanent residents and currently residing in Canada. I plan to visit for a short period of 3 weeks, from xxdate to xxdate, 2026, primarily to spend time with my children and young grandchildren".

Is this part in bold necessary and do I need to mention her (second sister's) name too? I and my first sister are the only ones inviting her (in the application/invitation letter).

Thank you.

S.

Do you live in the same city/region as your siblings? Will she be visiting them as well?

An invite letter is from you and your sister. The bold statement implies that the third child doesn't live in Canada. Does she live in Canada because says 2 of 3 children currently live in Canada? If she does then you say all her children live in Canada and will be visiting them.

thanks a lot. Yes she does live in Canada, in Ontario. I am trying not to complicate it to much by also adding my third sister as an invitee, but I also wanted to mention her in the letter somehow, for transparency. just not sure of the proper wording i guess.

You should mention any sibling that she will be visiting while in Canada in your letter.
