Hello
I am very worried about the Work History gaps part of the application.
I’m dual citizen Spain (origin) and UK.
My first ever job was in 2017, so the last job I entered in the Work History form was the one in 2017, before that I was in university (I put the years in the Study section 2013-2017)
In the “Work history” form I didn’t enter anything prior to 2017 (since I was at school).
So technically it isn’t a Gap because I never had a job before this “gap”, first job ever in 2017.
I am worried they might delay my application and request the horrible document everyone hates where they ask for all travels etc
Simply by not entering “Unemployed” prior to 2017, will they consider this as a Gap? Even if in the Study section I specified that prior to 2017 I was in school? (Which there would be no gaps because the “gap” is filled with “Me being in school”, so I see no gap, they would see that I was in school as entered in the study section).
Between 2017 to right now, I entered everything including Unemployment periods, it’s just that I haven’t entered anything prior to 2017 because the 2017 job was my first job ever.
So basically my Work History in the form goes from 2017 to right now. (9 years). So extremely anxious this messed up my whole application since it said to enter the last 10 years (I haven’t worked for that long, just started 9 years ago)
I know this is for police certificate, to request it if someone has gaps or has been 6+ months in another country, I should add that this period was in Spain since I’m from there originally, and I already submitted Spanish police certificate anyways (I also submitted the UK police certificate since it’s where I live now and the passport I used to apply), so they shouldn’t (in theory) worry about the gaps to request a police certificate when I already submitted the document regardless.
I feel the working holiday visa is such a stressful application for a “silly” thing. (What I mean by that is that it’s just a holiday visa not working for the FBI or something, they shouldn’t be so strict for something like the small gaps in school etc, not saying they shouldn’t be strict about more important stuff like lying in the application or serious things like false documents etc)
I am just extremely extremely worried and having anxiety attacks, I don’t want them to delay my application for this silly mistake, when it should have been a smooth process
Thank you.
