I applied for my mothers Super Visa in 2022 with the understanding that it will be valid for 10 years and with each entry of maximum 5 years. The visa stamped in her passport has a validity of October 2023. I expected that her stay would be 5 years long but now that i checked IRCC site, it seems that it was for only two years. What would be the next step now? someone suggested visitor record. I read up on that and it seems it can only be applied for visitor visa extensions. Is Super Visa a visit visa? Someone knowledgeable, kindly advise. Thank you

Yes, a Super Visa is still a visitor visa, just with extra benefits.
If your mother was only given 2 years of stay, the correct next step is to apply for a Visitor Record to extend her stay inside Canada.
This is the normal process and is allowed for Super Visa holders.

Hi-
I am in process of filling the online application for my parents for Super visa. I have a question about entering details in Travel History section.
My parents has many travel between India, Canada and USA in last 5 years.

They also have multiple land border entries between Canada and USA (overall straight stay between US and Canada is around 10 months).

But their passport do not have all the stamps because most of the time on land border, agents do not stamp their passport.
Question is- do they really have to enter all the entries in Travel History section or can they estimate some of the entries between US and Canada as we do not remember exact dates? Is it fine if 1 or 2 entries are missed out of 15 total entries?
Thanks

I think you need to order the entry record from both countries.

No. Your spouse must be PR to include income. So if she doesn't meet requirements the TRV.

Thank you for replying. Might be a stupid question but my income is around 46 k, so only needed around 1k to meet minimum income requirement. Is there a way of showing that 1k from other sources or even any saving such as TFSA etc.

No it is based on your NOA, not cash in the bank or investments. Apply when you are eligible.

Guys... I am applying the super visa for my mom. She is a homemaker, currently with $500 CAD in her bank account. She had to spend her savings on building a house. I am showing the networth certificate with immovable and movable assets. I am showing my dad and my brother as back home ties (who won't be accompanying her during this visit). I am showing my NOA+T4+paystubs, which meet the LICO. Should I still show my mom's bank statement (considering that it is very low)? Kindly provide your input. Thanks in advance!

Include her bank statement. Since she is coming for a 6 month for a visit with medical and health insurance then what is most important is your NOCA meeting LICO. Paystubs is not LICO.

Thanks for your response..will include the statement. yes..as you mentioned, NOA determines the income limit..but IRCC wants the following docs from the host:
  • the last notice of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency
  • T4 or T1 for the last tax year
  • pay stubs for the most recent 12-month period available

No it says documents we accept and doesn't mean you need to provide all. NOA is the most important document so provide NOA and T4. Given it is 2026, IRCC may ask for 2025 NOA and T4
