1.- SUV Work permits already in Canada
2.- SUV Work permits regardless residency.
3.- All the others…..

Not scalable business, not revenue. The business is the last important thing… They do care if you’re in Canada or not

Haha that’s why Canada it is what it is nowadays and why people is leaving the country. Government is a joke
I'm a bit confused. I thought that, based on the subsequent announcement, holding a work permit and being in Canada serves as the foundational requirement for the project. On top of that, high-priority projects receive top-priority processing; next, projects with high priority but no one in Canada rank second; and standard projects, regardless of work permit status, fall into the third tier.

The video I watched doesn't align with my understanding. If anyone can help clarify in the comments, that would be great, my thinking is a bit muddled right now. That said, this doesn't affect my approval timeline; whether it's prioritized or not, it's still a long wait. Plus, the current approval rate is too low, which isn't necessarily a good thing.

Yes, I’m not sure either. The video explanation doesn’t make sense to me to be honest but let’s see how this program develops, you never know with this people. They change the rules as the mood they wake up in the morning

But they’ve stopped issuing work permits.
Hi,
In your case, I assume that after IRCC finishes processing the 1st priority ones (Prio DO with Valid work permit, inside and outside,...) then it will be your turn siince you are also prio DO with work permit even it is not valid but you've already applied for extension!
Anyhow, Due to IRCC has just made the new rules but it is a very general concerpt....not detail enough so I don't think anybody could fully understand what they will actually process...even the immigration lawyer....! Therefore, All of us only judge, forecast... assumme and so on...!
Do hope Everyone is still alive in this bad period of time
Good luck
Cheers
Hali

IMP, is international Mobility Program under which SUV work permit comes

An IMP inspection is a compliance audit carried out by IRCC / Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) to verify that employer (startup / designated entity / Canadian company), and the foreign worker (SUV work permit holder) are complying with the conditions under which the LMIA-exempt work permit was issued.

It’s a good news which I feel says that your file is being finalised, let’s hope so

Yes, IMP inspections do apply to Start-Up Visa (SUV) work-permit holders; but matter of concern is that SUV founders get LMIA-exempt employer-specific work permits. But can it be matter of concern if in case the authorized work has been performed and the company has begun generating third-party revenue, but no salary has yet been paid to the work-permit-holding founder. Would the absence of salary, despite active business operations and invoicing, create a compliance issue under an IMP inspection?
Any inputs...

I don’t think any of the above is an issue, a founder can and most of the time works without salary

The real issue I feel will be when the founder is not working for the startup and working for someone else, and the startup is only on paper

Active business operations for the startup is very positive
