two parents were sponsored one of the parent has elected not to come due to unforeseen circumstances. They will miss their required date of entry. What needs to be done in this case.

Why miss date. Come and land and return home. Is the parent not coming the principal applicant?

yes the principal applicant is coming but they spouse is not. unfortunate situation. I think they would need to redo medical to get another entry visa ?

We got pre-arrival services letter on Nov 8, for both applications.

I heard bill C-12 is getting approved and in that immigration is cancelling whole streams , it includes parents and grand parents stream .
C12 is designed to reduce backlog and it can cancel any pgp application without reason and you cannot go to court even.
Is that true. They would cancel pgp applications in process?

Can you please share your application submitted date... I submitted on Aug 2nd and gave biometrics in Sep25, nothing after.

We applied at the end of July. Gave our biometrics on August 13. Pre-arrival letter December 10. Good luck!! I was so surprised to get the medical request on New Year's Eve!

C-12 is to deal with 290,000 fraud asylum seekers
