I believe at the beginning of the year it did take around those many months but later on the wait time has increased to 6 months +.
Probably by Jan or Feb you will have that. They will afterwards ask for Biometrics and Photo at Service Canada.
Book an appointment online with service Canada to submit biometrics.
Acknowledgement Of Receipt(AOR) is the confirmation email/letter saying your PR application have been receive and they have created the file for it. also they give you Permanent Application Number so that you can track your application on GC key account. you will receive AOR on your/representative Email.

No. that is confirmation email that your PR application have been submitted from PR Portal.
AOR is different. before the official AOR, IRCC usually sends an email/letter confirming that they have received your PR application and placed it in the processing queue. this email often includes a temporary application number. for example XG123456789.
Please check your email, icluding spam/junk folder. your should receive this message directly from IRCC.
my agent gave me login and paswrd of pr portal. when i login..i can see only my pr application PDF. are there any other things available.?for tracking? and are there any way to contact ircc about my AOR. i checked i did not see any temporary application number.

Since your agent submitted the application on your behalf, all IRCC official email/letter, including the temporary number, AOR and correspondence, are sent to the agent, not directly to you.
you should contact your agent and ask them to provide the updates about your PR application.
as long as you have an authorized representative, you cannot link and track the applicaiton yourself.

Just to clarify, will there be no visible change or update on the portal when the AOR is issued? Specifically, when the AOR is issued, does the “Status last updated” field change?
