I head over to the August channel and check with everyone who applied with you in August. Everyone in here applied in May or their April application is taking longer and they're checking on how things are going a month later.

Another great place to get a better understanding of timelines is checking out the tracker:

I got a response from IRCC. Appointment date cancelled and I was placed back in the queue. They will send me an email once the OATH is scheduled according to my schedule. I will send them an email once I am back in the country just to let them know that I am back in the country.
Hey! Is it normal if IRCC hasn't yet responded to my email to defer the appointment? Been 15 days now. I did not write an elaborate email but I did provide reason and attached itinerary.

Did you reply to the email you received or did you send a separate email or raise a webform? I sent a reply to the email received. May be they will send a response. Wait for few more days and then give them a call.

Replied to the email I received as per the instructions in the letter.

Finally a happy ending to this journey. I completed my in person oath ceremony today. It was a memorable two hour event. I had originally requested an e certificate but since I was invited to an in person ceremony they had already prepared the paper certificate. The staff mentioned that for anyone attending in person they issue the paper certificate regardless of what option was chosen. I was thinking about doing an online ceremony but I am glad I got the chance to attend in person. It truly felt special.

I did notice something interesting. On my certificate and my spouse’s the issuance date is today, November 28, but for our dependent daughter the date is October 21 which is the day our LPP was marked complete. I asked the IRCC person and she said it is normal for the date to be different for the dependent.

After a couple of years going through the PR process and now citizenship it feels great to be done. The path was not always smooth but the information and updates shared here in the forum were incredibly helpful. I am grateful to everyone who contributed and guided me along the way.

One thing I learned is that the process can be stressful and patience is essential. There is often nothing we can do from our side so we just have to wait. Sometimes there are months with no updates and it is easy to get discouraged but usually it is just a matter of a little more time. Try to stay patient everyone. Good luck to all and thank you again. :)

I just received my GCMS notes and it turns out my LPP hasn’t started yet. Even though it shows as “in progress” on my tracker. That was disappointing to see. All my due dates are about 7 months away and it says “Grant Interview Ready - MS Teams.” I’m assuming that means an online interview, but my file isn’t assigned to anyone yet. Let's see when I will get the interview invite. I will stop checking my tracker and this forum until I get any good news on my file. It seems like I have a long way to go in my journey.

Congrats to everyone who got their citizenships. Happy for y'all! :)
Almost a month later, still waiting for my interview... I'm not sure should I call them or not? I think it's reasonable to call and ask. Right?
