Below you can see the letter they sent me, it actually pisses me off, I was waiting and waiting for a hearing and literally a month ago they send a letter and say “maybe we can consider this under file-review”. I mean whats the point of this? Just give me my hearing instead of postponing it.

The hearing scheduled for September 2025, with respect to the above-mentioned claim for refugee protection has been postponed so that the claim may be reviewed under the Refugee Protection Division’s (RPD) file-review process. This means that the claim may be accepted without a hearing.

If the claim is accepted without a hearing, a Notice of Decision indicating that your claim is accepted will be sent to you. If a hearing is necessary, it will be rescheduled at a later date, and a notice to appear containing the new hearing date and location will be provided to you at that time.
This is actually positive news. The RPD has postponed your September 2025 hearing because your claim is now being reviewed under the file-review process. This process is used when the documents and evidence you submitted appear strong enough that the Refugee Protection Division may be able to accept your claim without needing a hearing.

What this means:
Your written evidence is being considered sufficient for a possible approval.
If the RPD decides that the claim can be accepted on the documents alone, you will receive a Notice of Decision confirming your claim is accepted.
If they still need clarification or additional questioning, they will simply reschedule the hearing later and send you a new notice with the date and location.
There is nothing negative in this message. A file review is usually offered when the case looks strong, and many protected persons are accepted this way.

As I read on the forum, most people received their postponed letter and NOD at the same time. But I have received this letter like 2 weeks ago and still there is no update. I am so sick of this situation. :(

Hello I try to understand, I have this "notice to Minister on first rest hearing letter then when they postponed it they wrote that mean maybe they approve without hearing or maybe they will schedule a new hearing date
I'm extremely frustrated and I don't know what's happening. Several questions are swirling in my head, and I can't find any answers. Did the lawyer request a postponement? Do they want a lengthy hearing, or do they want an approval without a hearing? I don't know anything, but what I do know is that several people had their hearings postponed, only to have them approved a few days later. I received the postponed notice 10 days ago, and now I rush to my phone every time I hear a message arrives in my email :(

Thank you! I claimed asylum last august, got a less complex case letter in april 2025, got a hearing date for september back in June, then it got cancelled in august and I got a decision without a hearing.
Could you tell me how many days it was between the day of postponed and the date of accepting
