Im applying for an urgent Canadian passport and I have a question about name matching.

My citizenship certificate has my full legal name.
My old foreign passport (which was taken by immigration when I arrived as a refugee) also had the same full name. I only have a photocopy of it now.
But my driver’s licence has a shortened version of my name because my full name was too long to fit on the card.
Has anyone had experience with this?
For an urgent passport, does Service Canada allow a shortened name on the driver’s licence, as long as the citizenship certificate shows the full legal name?
Or will they ask me to update my driver’s licence first?

If you want what you are calling your 'full name', then please check first the passport applications form and ID requirements. If you do not show or use your driver's licence for the passport application - then no issue. So then the only question is do you have sufficient other types of ID that you can show.
