Have you applied for the name change on PR card? If yes, what did you upload as attachment in the legal name change document and supporting document?

I did this last year, you don't need a lawyer.

I updated my Indian passport with BLS and then applied for a new PR card, saying it's not a legal name change, it's just a bifurcation as my name was interepreted wrong on my passport and the name still remains the same.

I attached and highlighted the lines in this document and attached both my old and new passport with name highlighted to explain it and got my new PR card.

I did not upload any document in the legal name change column. I highlighted the points valid from the letter issued by the ministry of external affairs (India) and uploaded it in the supporting documents column.

Hi @singhdeepinder im in exactly the same situation, indian passport updated to reflect first and last name but i need to change my PR card.
Please can you tell me if you applied for the updated PR card online if so, which option did you choose? i see the below 4 options?

• Get a first PR card
• Renew an existing PR card
• Update information on my card
• Replace a lost, stolen or damaged PR card
