Has anyone who applied for OCI through BLS Edmonton on September 6th received any updates? My application reached the OCI tracker on September 10th and has been showing “Under Process” ever since. It’s been over 1.5 months now with no update anyone in a similar situation?
In the same boat (submitted at BLS-Edmonton), OCI tracker date as 13th Sep and NO UPDATE since then,

Pls share here in case you receive any update

Hi guys, in my bls tracker the status is underprocess and on oci portal is pending. So for postal application do we get another tracking number? I haven't received any other status like docs recived, in transit, processing at consulate. So what exactly underprocess means and did bls already send it to consulate or not. Thanks a lot

Hi Folks,

I am about to initiate the OCI application and in the document checklist it ask for COPR.

The thing is in the covid time I got PR and I dont have COPR available. They just sent a letter saying you are now permanent resident from xxx date.

I also dont have that letter. Will copy of PR card work? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
Hi, I am in a similar situation. I have copy of COPR but it never got stamped. I was asked to send them back to IRCC and they just e-mailed me that I am PR now. So I have a unstamped copy of COPR. what did you do? I will appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Thanks , I’ll call them tomorrow,I think it’s just a new requirement for everyone who got their PR During COVID TIME, because I got PR during Covid time , they just changed the format of copr, which doesn’t have status of me ( student ) at the time of entry in Canada. One of the member gave me suggestion to submit my study permit and work permit and pnp invitation, let’s see. I think they have this new step to ensure people didn’t apply for asylum before getting citizenship. I can understand indian government concern but it’s unfair for people like us who have done everything legally.
Hi, Would you kindly share any updates on this? what did you do? I am in a similar situation. I recieved COPR and then there was complete lockdown. then I was asked from IRCC to return COPR. I did send physical copies of COPR and I recieved e-mail that I am PR now. So i do have un-stamped copy of COPR but nothing else. no actual physical stamped COPR.

OCI: This may be useful for families of three, including those with a 12-month-old baby.

We had booked the Premium Lounge Service at the Surrey BLS Office. We visited twice, and both times the security guard informed us that the internet was down in the building. He gave new appointment dates to everyone and sent applicants back. Since both of us work, we had taken two days off solely for this purpose and had to plan for a third visit. On our second visit, after being sent back, I decided to complete the online OCI application for all three of us. I filled out the forms, printed the applications, and prepared all required documents - including photos, signatures, and thumb impressions for our minor child. During our third visit, I informed the receptionist that this was our third attempt and that we wished to proceed with the Premium Lounge Service. Although all four waiting rooms were full, we were called in within 10 minutes.

The processing officer reviewed our online OCI applications, confirmed there were no errors, and noted that I hadn’t uploaded all the documents online earlier. He asked for the copies, scanned all our documents, and used my portal credentials to upload everything himself. Within about 10 minutes each, all our applications were submitted successfully.

In total, the entire process took roughly 50 minutes, and we were able to return home and resume work shortly after.
