No I haven’t heard anything since my request.thanks for reply. did they notify you about the delay and the reason after 30 days of waiting?
Congratulations. Were you ina group (family) application? Was your application delayed because of the fact your husband was in background screening for a long time? Finally, my husband’s background was approved on October 18! Our AOR is September 20, so exactly 25 months later.
Yes, unless you ask them to process the applications separately (If I'm not wrong). My application is basically on stand-by, Prohibition is the only thing incomplete since that’s the last step.Congratulations. Were you ina group (family) application? Ok, let me make sure I understand correctly because I think I’m in a similar situation. I applied in March 2025 with my wife as a group. In June, my background check was completed, but she was asked to provide fingerprints and likely went through additional security screening.Yes, unless you ask them to process the applications separately (If I'm not wrong). As things stand, I only have prohibitions left, while she still has both background and prohibitions pending. Was that your case for the last 2 years? I assume you both now have prohibitions left? Thanks for clarifying![]()
Sorry for the questions, but did you at any time consider seperating the application? If so, was there a guarantee that yours would have moved (considering you have prohibitions left)? In all cases, do update us in the event you have prohibitions cleared soon (I hope so!)Yes, thats correct!
No worries! I’m not sure how quickly they’d move if you ask to have the cases separated — I just read somewhere that it’s possible, but we never actually considered it. I’ll keep updating our case as it progresses.Sorry for the questions, but did you at any time consider seperating the application? We didn’t apply for the mandamus and we were never asked for fingerprints. The SS check started in November 2023Congrats , so have you applied for mandamus or the file cleared without court intervention? Also, by any chance, do you know when SS was started? Also, did they request fingerprints? if so how many times?
Ohhhhhhh congratulations!!!! I am so happy for you!!! So this, without a doubt, confirms that you were held up because of the unfortunate screening for your husband. Given i am in the same boat, i know what to expect. But i may well go for a file separation.'Prohibitions' turned green today! Just waiting for the oath! I’ll keep posting, but I wish all of you the best!
