Hello Everyone, I received an Invitation to Apply for permanent residency under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) through the recent education category draw. I understand that applicants under CEC are generally not required to provide proof of funds, but I wanted to confirm if this still applies since my invitation came from the education draw.

Yes, It will ask in your application to upload the proof of funds. You have declared the amount of money you will bring in the profile already. Now, calculate $ as per how many family members you have shown in the application already, and you will have to submit the POF.

Even though it’s CEC category I’m apply under?

So, why did IRCC say that POF isn’t required for CEC category, if we’ll still need to show POF?
Even though they say the under CEC or currently working in Canada dont need to show, but i guess it is a technical gap. The application portal will have that option to upload documents, and you have already shown the $ amount while you created your express entry profile.
I am not sure if you want to upload a letter of explanation there rather than showing POF. But it will certainly be asking you to upload the POF.

My friend uploaded proof of employment, salary slip, and bank statements.
