I am June 2024 applicant, after IME I got 3 request letters, the last one was in June 2025. After that no update so far. At least as far as I see.
@Miss bee hi again! Thank you for your responses earlier. Um, another question i got promoted from a QA technician to a QA associate, is it worth sending a webform to ircc with a new employment letter. job duties are the same, same company also, I did get a pay rise as well: context: applied through OINP - masters stream - non express entry and received AOR in july.

Yes my application was submitted on September 25, 2024. I got the PAL 1 & PAL 2 after medical and biometric.
Canada offers several immigration and resettlement pathways specifically for refugees. Here's how you can potentially migrate to Canada from Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda:
Canada resettles refugees through three main programs:
- You must be referred by the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) or another referral organization.
- The Canadian government selects refugees based on vulnerability and need.
- Canada provides support (housing, basic needs) for up to one year.
- Ensure you are registered with UNHCR in Uganda.
- Update your case file and express your interest in resettlement if you haven’t already.
- Be honest and clear about your protection concerns and vulnerabilities
- A group of Canadians (called a Sponsorship Agreement Holder or SAH) agrees to support you financially and emotionally for one year in Canada.
- They choose who they want to sponsor. It could be someone they know or someone introduced to them through refugee networks.
- If you have any family, friends, or church groups in Canada, ask them to look into becoming private sponsors.
- Some NGOs and Canadian churches sponsor refugees they don’t know personally, especially if you are vulnerable (e.g., a survivor of violence, single parent, etc.).
- The Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP)
- Operation Refugee - by Canadian Foodgrains Bank and others
- Refugees must be referred by UNHCR, and are matched with Canadian sponsors.
What you can do:
- Again, registration with UNHCR is critical.
- The UNHCR decides who is eligible, based on vulnerability and resettlement criteria.
Register with UNHCR Uganda
Make sure your refugee case is registered and up to date. Ask About Resettlement Possibility
At the UNHCR or refugee legal aid office in Nakivale, ask: Gather Documentation
Keep copies of all your refugee documentation, UNHCR registration, identity papers, and any other relevant records (e.g., certificates, proof of family separation, etc.). Improve Your English or French
These are Canada’s two official languages. Knowing one or both will help with integration and may support some immigration paths in the future.

After this I didn’t get any update on my file
not even medical request nothing
And I can see in the August 2024 Month google Spreadsheet everyone almost got there Final decision and portal request
I am very worried and Stressed about my situation
Is there something wrong with my application? what could be the reason or situation? Please guide me and I have also Requested web form many time about this but I didn’t get any reply from IRCC
I applied for GCMS notes which I didn’t get yet
Please guide me in this situation I’m so stressed

May I ask what your nationality is? This seems like a comprehensive security screening
Did you try to call IRCC? GCMS notes are mostly coming late which should be followed with a complaint I think. But imo IRCC's phone line would be helpful. Not sure if they check your eligibility and background before medical (is this even an option?). If so, then your application, once background is done, would be processed very fast as most of the steps are done.
My status Showing Background check Pending since I received AOR its the same no Updates after that
I haven’t call IRCC
