Applied 16 June, finished biometrics on June 20 and absolutely no update since.

Applied for mother in law for being here for wife’s first pregnancy and the due date is within a month. Loosing hope that there will be any news on the Visit visa for her to be there to support us. This is disappointing from IRCC.

Visitor visa for in-laws living in India. Applied June 19, Biometrics completed June 24- Visa Refusal email today.

In your guys' experience, if the two applicants do not have any properties and no other foreign travel, is it impossible to get approved? Both of them are employed and were able to provide payslips btw.

Got refusal today for my in laws visitor visa. Applied on June 29th.

Seems like a generic response in decision notes - "I have reviewed the application. The purpose of the applicant's visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details provided in the application. The applicant's assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for themselves (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application."

Not generic. So how long was visit? How much in cash did they show (not others)? What did they show as ties to return (job letters, business, income property)?

Visit is too long with not enough funds. Estimate $10k cash for 2-3 weeks. Show that deposits can be cashed immediately or funds in cash. Property not a tie or show tenant agreements where rent is due only if in country. Only tie is job and they got 3 month leave which is too long.

Reapply for 2 week visa.
