Hello,

I am currently working as a bartender and would like to apply to immigrate to Canada under a skilled-worker program. I’m wondering if bartending experience, which includes preparing drinks, customer service, and managing busy shifts, qualifies as “skilled work” under NOC or TEER categories.

If it does, under which NOC code would it be classified? Also, what kind of documents or proof would be most helpful to support bartending experience in an application?

Has anyone here successfully applied with this type of background?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Not considered skilled work. It would be essentially impossible to immigrate to Canada as a bartender right now. Have you worked in Canada? How old are you? What country are you from? Do you have post-secondary education? Do you speak French?

It is TEER 4 (64301) so not skilled work as that are TEER 0-3 jobs. So that NOC is not eligible for Express Entry.

You posted in August that you got PR through EE. Then last week you posted you were applying through the SUV stream. Also posted you work in retail.
