Hi, I do not have my mom sides grandparents DOB. Actually, our relations are spoiled so we are not in touch.
What should I do in this case ? should I just write letter of explanation ? if yes then how and what should I write in it ?

What is the wait time trend for getting PR card after ecopr ?

My parents got their ecopr on 5th August. No PR card for them as of today-23rd Septemeber. Hey folks anyone in the same situation or anyone has got the PR card. How many days after Ecopr you got the PR card?

I received the Biometrics letter for the dependent, my mom, today, but not for the Principal applicant, my father. Since the Biometrics need to be done in another city, do I have to wait to receive the letter for both parents? Anyone in a similar situation?

Also, the biometrics were done in July 2024 for applying for Canadian visitor visa which was approved. Do we have to do it again?

I would say wait for few days in case they ask for dad and get it done for your Mom.

Hi, in the file do I have to attached any proof of citizenship of parents? If yes, which document is accepted as a proof?

My mother got eCOPR on Aug 6th and i have been waiting for PR Card as well. From reading on threads around and from IRCC website it seems it can take around or more than 46 days, from other threads some received the PR card after about 2+ months since receiving eCOPR so i guess it varies with applications,

I have another question- for the education part for IMM5669 section C (education) they say in checklist not to leave any time gaps in education but my father graduated from high school and has a a big gap before he went to university.. Do we indicate in section C which just lists education that he was not studying and the year from and to?

Hi, can I ask what you ended up doing to address the gaps in education. I'm in the same situation. Do we mention the gap in section C or just explain it in a letter of explanation. Also do we need to mention summer breaks between the end of one school year and the start of a new one? Would appreciate your response on this. Thank you

received request for biometrics with 30 day deadline 10 days ago. It said a letter with instructions will follow. But haven't received the instructions letter. How does one proceed?

Update to below post. We have obtained the death certificate from the hospital. It’s handwritten but on hospital letterhead and also stamped and signed. Would this work? Or do we need to provide a govt one?

1)My dad had a first wife that passed away. The checklist mentions that we must upload a death certificate. We are thinking of obtaining the certificate from from the hospital that she passed away in. Would that work? Or would we need an official govt certificate?

2) the checklist also mentions “if the principle applicant was previously married”
a) provide given/family names of previous spouse
b) the length of time they were together.

does this answer information have to be provided in word doc and then uploaded? Or is it sufficient that’s it’s captured already in the generic application form?
