Same, my brother got 61 pts but didn't get selected.

When he submitted the EOI for AOS September of last year, he didn't get the points for Canadian experience. Now that he's working for a year, do you guys recommend him resubmitting his application to get the extra points? It might help him get selected.

We asked the question through the web form and we got a response that he needs to cancel & resubmit. The question is do we really need to do that? Would IRCC not recognize that he's already working for a year and add additional points?

Sorry, we're kinda hesitant to cancel and resubmit as it might mess up the application.

Thanks
Why IRCC? IRCC is involved once you apply for PR since AOS is a no EE stream. So this is what AAIP officials told you to do.

I see. We actually got 2 emails. The IRCC email directed us to the contacts per province. The other email who suggested us to cancel and resubmit has an Alberta on the email signature.

We'll probably cancel and resubmit while there's still 579 remaining slots.

Do you know when the next draw date for AOS will be?

Thanks

This is not a IRCC issue until nominated and submits PR application. There are almost 42K in the AOS pool so hopefully selected.

Omg, I just saw that 41,848 Number of expressions of interest you were referring to o_O. I guess we got confused of that AOS Table showing a lower number (709 currently) under applications to be processed.

Okay, we will definitely cancel out from AOS and resubmit under another pathway that he is eligible.

Thanks

Which other pathway?

Does he know French? If so he should be learning it.

I checked the Language requirements. It says:

Language requirements

At the time your application is submitted, you must demonstrate you meet the following language test score:

  • minimum of 4 for each English language skill, or
  • minimum of 4 for each French language skill

So I guess french is not compulsory?

Thanks

Wasn’t suggesting it for Alberta but to try to secure PR via other pathway. It may be very difficult to get selected in Alberta working in tourism and hospitality. If you know French outside Quebec you have the easiest pathway to PR these days.
