Even If IRCC process 15K in one year and grant half of them AIP, that is still low compared to number of applicants in the backlog (49K). If the same recent trend continues I expect the backlog to grow to at least 150K by 2027 for general H and C alone. It seems until now no one is willing to acknowledge the fact that there would be no viable H and C pathway if your target admission number represent a tiny fraction (1-3%) of the inventory, especially with 2 millions of temporary residents in Canada whose permits gonna expire by 2026 and I anticipate 10% of those will apply for H and C. IRCC should raise processing target to at least 30-40K annually and better triage cases with high chance of approval (long residence in Canada, Canadian children with special needs, hardship in country of origin) in order to maintain functional H and C with timely processing time of 25 months (updated today).Have a hard time believing the H&C division has the capacity to process ~8k applications or people per year if you prorate the figure for the whole year. Can’t find out what their processing capacity is if anyone else can find it. Even if many people get stuck for years between AIP and PR where is the up to 600 months processing time coming from? It must be coming from general H&C.
Actually i am still waiting for medical request from ircc so as i got AIP on 21 Aug its almost a month now haven’t received it.I think they will also ask me for ARC.Medical not received

So could anyone suggest me that should i go for open work permit on basis of AIP or should i just wait for Stage 2 approval. As i am in India right now my lawyer told me that for work permit u need ARC too which will take long time instead of this just wait for PR approval.
Probably a spam, be carefulTough call. Would personally wait to relocate until you are 100% sure you have PR and can start a life in Canada. The timelines may also be similar if ARC is involved. Without knowing your circumstances tough to say. Is it just you on the application? If married are your spouse and any dependent children in Canada?
Given your removal in 2023. Would you mind sharing a few details on your H&C claim. Fairly uncommon situation. If not no worries.
