I got the same letter, which was weird because I had already provided proof of my work experience. Later, I received a call from IRCC telling me the letter was a mistake and that a bridging open work permit wasn’t needed. A few months later, I finally got my PR.Good news!!! Looks like it is moving again.

Question about the Eligibility letter:
This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker Pilot program. It has been determined that you meet the eligibility and admissibility requirements for permanent residence under Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker Pilot program, with the exception of your work experience. Your work experience is under review. Your temporary residence application has been approved and a bridging open work permit is being issued. Upon receiving this approval, all your accompanying dependents are eligible to apply for Temporary Resident (TR) applications. • An accompanying dependent, is a family members you list as “accompanying” on your permanent resident application (on the IMM0008 Generic Application for Canada form).• If your family members is listed as “non-accompanying” on your permanent resident application (on the IMM0008 Generic Application for Canada form), they are NOT eligible to receive a temporary resident permit at this time.*
Does it mean, I will be getting another work permit visa first before getting a PR? I currently have over 1 year home child care experience.
Thank you Tetunte!I got the same letter, which was weird because I had already provided proof of my work experience. Later, I received a call from IRCC telling me the letter was a mistake and that a bridging open work permit wasn’t needed. A few months later, I finally got my PR.
I hope this is the case for you too since you’ve already submitted your work experience. It might also be worth sending a web form to ask them, just to be sure.
Anyway, congratulations! It’s been a long journey for you. With Canada closing its borders, this is really great news.
