Received Virtual Oath Ceremony invitation. Can someone help me understand if I can still attend the ceremony virtually if I'm currently outside of Canada?

My understanding is you must be in Canada to do the oath - even virtually.

I was on work permit prior to getting PR so my physical presence in canada is a combination of both “time on work permit”(half day counted) and PR. Do we need to submit any documents as Proof of Physical Presence for citizenship application ? I did not see anywhere in application that any document needs to be submitted so wanted to confirm…

You don't need to submit anything at application time, but they may ask you for passport pages, etc. later. They probably won't though.

Got a ghost update on Sept 2. Does that mean the Oath is near? LPP cleared on Aug 11.

I received my passport today! Even though I had my oath on July 11th, I applied for my passport on Aug. 12th and got it today!!!! I am so excited I am finally done with IRCC!!!!

Don’t like to tell you this but some nationalities are never done with IRCC even with 5 Canadian passports!

I got my LPP completed in mid-August, and only the oath is pending. Since I relocated to the US right after applying for Canadian citizenship, I received an email asking me to provide a Canadian address so that IRCC can plan certain steps such as the test and oath. Since my test is already completed, I assume this is for the oath. However, despite providing my address a week ago, my application tracking portal still shows that they are waiting on me. When can I expect the oath invite?

Today's the day! I have my in-person oath ceremony at 1pm today!
After 7 years in Canada I'll finally be a citizen! Good luck to everyone else who's waiting patiently too!

Never heard about Peruvians having issues, but for now and for a while now I am done with IRCC!

All the stages are done except Oath. Since I have relocated to US, IRCC asked for my Canadian address, which I provided two weeks ago - no update since. What do I do?
