Can’t they just hire more staff? I wouldn’t mind paying double the application fee if it meant they processed things twice as fast.‍♂️

Doubling the application cost would only put a dent into the actual cost of processing. Would argue that it would be better than nothing but would be cost prohibitive for many, especially families, so doubt it would be considered. For programs like PGP there would definitely be an argument for higher fees like Australia. Processing times increasing is primary due to the yearly PR quota allocation for refugees and protected people and the volume of applicants.

Me too is if u see Jan and Feb was quickly moving and here March is very slow we r end of august and still not moved till half

It appears as though your family is with you in Canada which is not the case for many so in many ways you have still been lucky even if you have to wait a little longer.

I think they are slowing down because they are close to reaching their target number of applications. I hope I get mine before October.
When did u applied?

I’ve done cybersecurity and trying to get job in and most companies required permanent residency and got stucked because of this.

For Protected Persons PR, CPC Mississauga handles the file up to the final decision .After that, Portal 1/2 and the PR card are processed by the Sydney office. Big delay right now is at the FD stage. Once that’s done, the rest usually moves fast. The slowdown is because IRCC is already close to this year’s immigration targets, and politics around the numbers is making it slower. Omg everyone talking about this numbers nowadays.

Yes recently Pollievre won and started questioning numbers of immigrants and since that it’s slow down. But I am saying we r on finishing line it’s hard to wait. Since we waited too long already
