Can’t they just hire more staff? I wouldn’t mind paying double the application fee if it meant they processed things twice as fast.![]()
Doubling the application cost would only put a dent into the actual cost of processing. Would argue that it would be better than nothing but would be cost prohibitive for many, especially families, so doubt it would be considered. For programs like PGP there would definitely be an argument for higher fees like Australia. Processing times increasing is primary due to the yearly PR quota allocation for refugees and protected people and the volume of applicants.
