517 CRS – Common Law – PGWP expiring soon

Sitting at 517 CRS right now.
2/ Declared common-law with partner.
3/ Partner’s on a PGWP with only a few months left, my expires earlier

What I’m trying to figure out:

Realistic timeline for ITA at this score.

If my partner’s expiring PGWP complicates things.

Options to bridge the gap if PR isn’t finalized in time.


Anyone here been through this? What should I expect / prepare for?

Last CEC draw was 534 so may not get ITA soon.

There is not option unless you have an approved LMIA to apply for a closed work permit. What is your citizenship?

If PGWP expires then apply for visitor record before expiry to maintain status in Canada. Stop working when you permit expires. If you don't have foreign work experience consider leaving Canada and getting a year to increase score.

What NOC for you and your common law? Province? Have you maxed out all points you can?
