Your wife will definitely need to get the test done if her education was not strictly taught in English. My wife did not do the English test nor did she have any education in Canada. We are from an english speaking country, so I submitted submitted her education diplomas (in english) and explained in a separate letter. Almost sure your wife's degree wasn't done in english.

I suggest getting the test done for both of you if you can't find a copy of your scores.

thank you for your reply. for me I had uploaded my test via the express entry profile . But i cannot find that copy anywhere . I reached out to IELTS to see if I can get a copy. For wife , her education was done in English only but no where in her certificates says it explicitly. I have requested for transcripts , hopefully that will have this details. Last option is to take test.

For Citizenship proof for my wife, can I upload her bachelor’s degree certificate from India, and she is working in IT for last 10 years both in India and also in Canada combined, any of this would help for language? Did anyone did this personally and worked?

For myself, I don’t know how I can retrieve my IELTS results from 2017?

Any info would be helpful

Hi I was in the same position as your wife - completed bachelors from India and have combined 10 years of work experience. Came to Canada through Spousal sponsorship.

I received my citizenship certificate today by completing the Oath.

For my citizenship application I didn't give any english test or anything. I uploaded my Bachelors transcript and university certificate.

The only extra steps I had was I had to submit my fingerprints before my BG was completed and I had an interview at IRCC office to check my English language level by the officer before my oath was scheduled. The interview was like 10 minutes where I was asked to talk for sometime in English and Language requirement in LPP was right away approved.

Mind you, these two steps added close to 3 months to the application timeline.

you can apply to IELTS organizer in your country and request to give a copy of by providing pay and other paper.
 
I am from saskatoon, apply online for my wife December,2024, everything updated but only language skill not update till date, she has submitted CLB certificate all band 4 as IRCC asking for, but don't know, why they are not updating.

Indian school and university teachers don't always speak in English. Sometimes, they even speak in local languages such as Punjabi and Marathi.

Same here, I completed my BG and test in Marc and since then no updates whereas my wife and younger kid got their citizenship couple of months back.
 
Question:
Has anyone who selected a virtual ceremony during the application, later instructed to attend an in-person ceremony? Does this happen?
