Clarification on Recognition of Online MBA from O.P. Jindal Global University (India) under Express Entry

Hi everyone,


I recently completed the MBA in Business Analytics from Jindal Global Business School (O.P. Jindal Global University). The program is UGC-approved, delivered online, and spans 72 credits over 1-2 years—same as their on-campus MBA.


The degree certificate explicitly states "Mode of delivery: Online". However, I received a confirmation email from the university stating this program is recognized by WES Canada and is eligible for ECA.


I’d appreciate if anyone can confirm:


  • Will IRCC treat this as a distance/online education under Express Entry rules (i.e., partial CRS for foreign education)?
  • Has anyone here successfully claimed full CRS points with a similar degree from this university?

Hello , I am also planning to do 1 year mba course from OP Jindal and claim points in express entry.. let me know your results ! Was it considered a masters degree by ECA ?? Your advice will help me to proceed
 
They said they are WES certified , but that is true for some courses Then i asked them for letters, they have been silent since. Might be able to get it through other ECA bodies.

Have you tried with other bodies like IQAS ? I dont think 1 year will be recognized as masters canadian equivalent.
However the university is saying they have been awarded as Institute of eminence but that doesnt mean it will be considered masters .

Is there any update on the WES Evaluation or ECA please? I am also about to pay the registration fee and I'm curious to know
