Hi Guys, We got passport request for my parents on May 22nd. My parents are in Canada so we filled out address change form and got confirmation from IRCC on June 13th. After that, no communication from them over email or no information change on portal also. No P1 or P2 email as well. My parents are in USA for 4 months and coming back in October. How should I follow up with IRCC on status of their application? Is anyone in same boat with this timeline?

Hello Everyone,

My parents don't have a marriage certificate, however they have their spouse's name on each other's passports and other government-issued documents. How to proceed with this?
Also, my father passed away in 2018, and I do have a Death Certificate.

Do I still require a marriage certificate?

thanks, and what is P2 ?
P2 is basically when your account gets created on the permanent residence portal. You will see a new row with category as "Confirmation of permanent residence" once you get the P2 email. You will then be asked to confirm the presence in Canada, share the address and Photograph for PR card.

I didnt have the marriage certificate so I gave an affidavit initially which was not accepted by IRCC so they asked for the other documents. I had provided my parents aadhar card, voter card and passports showing their names which was eventually accepted by IRCC. My dad passed away during the PR processing so had to submit death certificate as well during the processing.
