Hello all, we submitted our spousal sponsorship application in December 2024. Medicals and Biometrics were completed since February and since then ghostly silence. I submitted a web form last week as I noticed a small discrepancy in our address on the tracker and also asking for an update. I just received an email update stating that the discrepancy was fixed and that our file is in the queue for review. Was wondering what that could mean, why the use of the word "review" instead of processing. Anybody has some insight into this? Does this mean we're close to the finish line or am I grasping at straws?

Assume you have completed sponsor approval and background checks. If so yes that should mean you are nearing the end of the process as long as no red flags. Still within normal processing time.

No red flags that we're aware of. Ours is a 7 year relationship with tons of evidence to support it. Sponsor approval was given since January, but the tracker has been stuck in background check since February. And PA eligibility still shows 'not started' on the tracker. We havent had a tracker update since Feb when the medicals and Biometrics were completed. Strange, especially for someone who hardly traveled and has a clean record. I wonder if the fact that we're both outside of Canada has to do with the delay. Im the Canadian sponsor who will move back with him once PR is approved. Hoping we're finally at the end of the line.

Where are you located? Did you include some proof of your plans to move to Canada? Still strange so I would order GCMS notes to see if anything interested contained in the notes.

We're located in the Eastern Caribbean. We're a couple in our 20s, high-school sweethearts. We havent accumulated much assets other than a car which we plan to sell once PR is approved.
I outlined my plan to quit my teaching job at the end of a term so as not to disrupt my students schedule, and my partner can quit his IT job when that time comes. My other siblings who have all aready moved to Canada have vouched for us that we can live with them upon our arrival until we get our own place. Got a few support letters from close friends as well. So our case is simple, but not much tangible evidence in terms of our plans to move. Im hoping that that's not the cause of the delay. Hopefully my siblings having all moved to Canada should be some evidence that the only reason I'm still back here is because of waiting for my partner's approval.

Also, how can I order GCMS notes from outside of Canada? As if I read that you can only order them from within Canada

Would order GCMS notes.
